Marc Márquez continues with his recovery, after having had to undergo surgery for the fourth time on his right humerus . The eight-time world champion, who returned to the MotoGP paddock (on a visit) at the last Austrian GP, commented that his recovery depended on the results he obtained in a new review, which he underwent the following week.
Marc was examined just six weeks after the previous one (July 13), and twelve weeks after his operation on June 2 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. The surgeon who intervened, Joaquín Sánchez Sotelo, supervised the CT scan. The one from Cervera received the ‘OK’ from the doctors to return to training normally, after verifying that the bone had completely welded.
Honda did not lack time to return to two wheels. First, doing MTB, and now, as he has revealed on his social networks, on a CBR 600RR in Motorland karting.
It is the first time that Márquez gets on a motorcycle since his operation, at the end of the last Italian GP, held last May.
The photos, which show a happy Marc , seem to confirm Honda ‘s intention for him to return to MotoGP at the next Misano test, scheduled for next week. The team assures that they will respect the pilot’s decision, although they hope that he will be able to make some trips to the track in order to set the course for the development of next year’s prototype.
As Alberto Puig explained in an interview on DAZN, “the Misano test is crucial, since it contains the information to make the bike that the riders will test in the Valencia test” , which is held after the end it’s from the season.
“Today I have a permanent smile. After a lot of effort I get back on the bike. Thanks to all of you who are behind always pushing! We continue !!”, reads the publication of the Spaniard on his Instagram account.
