The last test of the San Marino Grand Prix, the Warm Up on Sunday morning, was again dominated by the Ducati, this time by Enea Bastianini who already led FP2 and FP4. Winner of three races this year, the clear objective for Gresini’s rider is to add another victory in front of his fans at the home race, although he will have to have things very clear this afternoon, since Pecco Bagnaia, second fastest in this session , and a clear candidate for the Italian brand in the fight for the championship, will be looking for its fourth win in a row and there are orders from the Italian brand not to hinder it.
Third on the time sheet was Luca Marini, beating Fabio Quartararo, who showed a very good pace, as did Maverick Viñales, who was fifth. Jorge Martín, who could not make the cut in Q1 and will have to start far behind on the grid, finished sixth, ahead of Aleix Espargaro, completing the top 10 Brad Binder, who always improves on Sundays, Marco Bezzecchi, who starts in the front row grill, and Alex Rins.
Poleman Jack Miller was only 11th, ahead of Johann Zarco and a reborn Franco Morbidelli. The first Honda was that of Alex Márquez, 16th, ahead of Takaaki Nakagami. Pol Espargaró was 19th.
