It will not enter the record books for having been achieved in a test that, however official it may be, does not count as any other Grand Prix session when it comes to establishing historical marks, but Fabio Quartararo, in the afternoon session On the second day of practice, he managed to lap in 1.31.054 , improving in a breath the 1.31.065 with which Pecco Bagnaia established last season the pole position and the absolute record in Misano.
The French driver, who went out on the track in all four sessions testing new parts and an engine with a view to 2023 that gives him a slight improvement in top speed, was able to lap faster than anyone.
In the afternoon, only a dozen riders took to the track, after folding all the Ducati sails. Those who did stay on track, in addition to the two Yamaha riders, were the four from Honda and Maverick Viñales.
Marc Márquez completed three sessions of six laps each and a final one of nine to give a total of 61 laps with a best time of 1.31.642, achieved in the morning. In the afternoon, the Honda man dropped to 1.32.327, the sixth fastest time, behind Viñales, who was second, Brad Binder, Alex Márquez, Takaaki Nakagami and Franco Morbidelli, who improved at the last minute.
In the two days of testing, Márquez has completed a total of 100 laps (422.6 kilometres), almost four times the race distance (27 laps) on this track, although in no case has the Honda rider worked in longer sessions beyond the six laps except for the last one, which did nine.
