What time is MotoGP qualifying in Japan and how to watch it

This Saturday the classification of the 2022 Japanese GP is held in Motegi , in which the MotoGP riders will play for pole, and in Spain it will be early. Attention!

After the first day of free practice, held this Friday (FP2 takes place on Saturday), the differences are minimal, with the top ten classified separated by less than three tenths.

What time is the classification of the Japanese GP of MotoGP 2022?

  • Date : tomorrow, Saturday, September 24, 2022
  • Start time : at 08:05 a.m. in Spain, the Q1 of the Japanese MotoGP classification will start (Spanish peninsular time)
  • Time of the classification of Japan in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Panama: 01:05 a.m.
  • Time of the classification of Japan in Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile and Paraguay: 02:05h
  • Time of the classification of Japan in Argentina and Uruguay: 03:05 a.m.

Motegi’s is the 15th date of the season, and since it is held in Japan (where there are seven hours more than in Spain), it is an event tomorrow for Spain, and at an even more complicated schedule in Latin America, where it will be necessary to go until early morning.

The MotoGP classification for the Japanese GP starts at 08:05 a.m. in Spain (07:05 a.m. in the Canary Islands), at 01:05 a.m. in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Panama; 02:05 a.m. if you are in Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile and Paraguay and at 03:05 a.m. if you want to watch MotoGP from Argentina or Uruguay.

Motegi qualifying will consist of Q1 and Q2, two sessions of 15 minutes each, and at the end of that half hour we will know the grid order for Sunday’s race. Q2, the decisive round of MotoGP qualifying in Japan, will start around 08:45, to establish the author of the pole position and the first 12 positions.

EYE! In this MotoGP Japan GP 2022 there is only one free practice session (FP1) on Friday, while FP2 and FP3 are held on Saturday. There will be no FP4. They are measures taken in the face of the threat of a cyclone that could ruin the activity on the track.
