Prime Video will show Márquez's recovery in a docuseries

Prime Video has announced that it will premiere a docuseries detailing Marc Márquez’s recovery over the last year.

Amazon’s streaming platform followed the evolution of the eight-time MotoGP world champion throughout 2022, a crucial year in his career. Márquez decided at the Italian Grand Prix, with seven races held, to get off the bike to undergo surgery on his right arm for the fourth time.

The #93 returned to competition in 2021, after a blank campaign due to an injury to the aforementioned arm. Márquez suffered a hard fall in the first round of the 2020 campaign, while competing in the Spanish Grand Prix, in which he fractured his humerus.

He underwent surgery for the first time and reappeared the following week on the same stage, for the Andalusian Grand Prix, but decided to get off the bike after several test sessions. A few days later, the titanium plate that had been installed broke while opening a window.

As if that were not enough, the wound ended up becoming infected, so he had to undergo surgery a third time . In 2021 we saw him again on his RC213V, at the Portuguese circuit in Portimao. Although he was able to climb to the top of the podium at the Sachsenring, Austin and Misano, he never finished riding to his liking, with constant discomfort that led him to make the drastic decision to go under the knife again.

The Cervera rider, after several months blank, has officially reappeared in the Misano tests, with good feelings. After several more tests on a street bike, Marc decided to take the start of the last Aragón Grand Prix.

The docuseries, which has not yet announced its premiere date, is produced by Fast Brothers in collaboration with Red Bull Media House and Telefónica Broadcast Services .
