A team of researchers from the University of Montreal (Canada) has wanted to find out which is the sexual fantasy that is repeated the most by women . The conclusions of the study have been published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine .
For this, they had the participation of 1,500 people , who had to fill out a questionnaire about their predilections in sexual matters. The comparison of the data resulted in that between 50 and 60% of the respondents agreed that their favorite sexual fantasy would be to recreate the story of the famous trilogy of erotic literature "50 Shades of Gray", that is, a scene in which they were in a way pushed into submitting to a sexual partner: becoming a submissive like Anastasia Steele with Mr. Gray.
“People who have submissive fantasies also often show a desire for domination. These two themes, therefore, are not mutually exclusive , but quite the opposite ”, explained Christian Joyal, leader of the study.
Fantasies about sadomasochism are very common among both men and women and have historically been referred to as "deviant" sexual behaviors. In any case, the important thing in this regard, the authors emphasize, is that if the sexual act is violent by nature but has not been consented to by any of the parties involved, it is not only a sign of psychopathological behavior, but also involves the commission of a crime .
