Located on a barrier island off the coast of southeastern Florida, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is a magnificent oceanfront resort featuring an oceanfront inn, villas and cabanas, all in the style of grand beach hotels. “Old Florida”. The property functions as a luxury hotel and is also part of the Disney Timeshare Vacation Club.
The location is a two-hour drive southeast of Orlando, and many guests arrive to unwind after busy days at the theme parks. However, the atmosphere is far from the bustle of Disney World. Expect a laid-back, laid-back vibe and a slower pace. The Disney theme is also low-key.
Children’s programming includes:
- Disney Discovery Club – Kids ages 4-12 can participate in scavenger hunts, crafts, outdoor activities, and fun programs featuring entertainment and adventures created just for them.
- Teen Geo Challenge – Teenagers ages 13-19 can participate in a complex-wide scavenger hunt using GPS technology.
- TeeNightz – Teens ages 13-19 get together for a night of sports, games, and trivia, as well as a private campfire.

Please note that you will have to take a short trip if you want to eat off the property. The closest city is Vero Beach. You should expect a low-key, beach-centric atmosphere, which is a far cry from the wonder of Disney World. You will have to pay more for beach chairs, boogie boards, and other sand and surf toys. Pack insect repellants so you don’t see!
