Disney Masters Festival

Editor’s Note: The Disney Masters Festival has been canceled in the last two years due to the expansion of the former Downtown Disney, now known as Disney Springs. It is unclear when or if he will return.

Every year in mid-November, Downtown Disney (now known as Disney Springs) transforms from market to exhibition site for its world-renowned Festival of the Masters. Artisans come from all over to display their creations at the prestigious show, which is among the best open-air arts festivals in the country; and, it has been one of the most highly regarded juried art festivals in the Southeast since 1975. The Festival of the Masters features one-of-a-kind, limited-edition works made from clay, wood, metals, oils, watercolors and more.

The long-awaited event brings together artists, collectors, and art lovers in a family-friendly atmosphere that not only features artistic creations, but also live entertainment, children’s activities, and culinary treats. Children are invited to create their own masterpieces; and, other art-related activities for the family are held throughout downtown Disney, including face painting of the cast of Cirque du Soleil. Plus, kids will love building Lego models and creating their own sidewalk chalk art.

Artist exhibits for the Festival of the Masters are staged on Downtown Disney’s Westside and Downtown Disney Marketplace sets the stage for elaborate sidewalk chalk art displays created by the Central Florida Chalk Artists Association. Hours are from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sundays. Entrance and parking are free.
