Inaugural Parade Route Map 2017: Washington

The 2017 inaugural parade route is shown with the blue line on the map above. The parade after President Donald Trump’s inauguration, the 58th inauguration of an American president, began on the steps of the United States Capitol building and continued down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House.

The President and Mrs. Trump walked part of the route from the Capitol to the White House, as did the Vice President and Mrs. Mike Pence, continuing a long tradition of inaugural parades. The two couples and their families also traveled slowly in a limousine the rest of the route.

For all the inaugural parades, the best way to get there is to take Metrorail. The closest stations are marked on the map with this article; Every time you go to a parade, choose the one that is closest to where you want to see it.

President Trump’s inauguration in 2017 included pre-inaugural concerts, the swearing-in ceremony on the steps of the US Capitol with the presence of past presidents and their wives, the inaugural parade and inaugural balls to round out the event.
