Blizzard’s 30th Anniversary has been accompanied by a few very important announcements that were revealed during BlizzConline in February, with some merchandising added to celebrate this event. One of the most prominent is the one that the Californian company has just put up for sale, which is an impressive figure of the Lich King from World of Warcraft.
Also known as Arthas or the Lich King in English, this huge figure has dimensions of 66 centimeters , which means that due to its large size it weighs a total of 18 kilos. But what will leave you completely frozen will not be the Ice Crown region where it is located, if not its price that rises up to 1,300 euros.
While it is understandable that your pockets have trembled after seeing what it is worth, you only have to take a look at its appearance to realize the amount of detail that it has in its armor , the sword of Frostmourne (Frostmure) or the pedestal on which it is situated made up of a few Scourge soldiers. All hand painted.
At the moment the figure of the Lich King is only available for reservation and on the store’s own product page it is indicated that it plans to begin distribution on September 20. On the other hand, if you want something cheaper, you can also opt for a drawing of Prince Arthas that is not bad at all and whose price goes up to 32 euros. In this case, it will be distributed around June 18.
Both the figure and the drawing are products of the From the Vault series, which are collector’s items based on the Blizzard characters and video games for their 30th anniversary. Every month until November, two new products will be revealed , every second Thursday of the month specifically, which will be added to the list and will remain available in the store.
In terms of video games , World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has its 9.1 patch underway, which will welcome new content with the Chains of Domination update. In addition, this same year it is also expected that World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic will end up arriving, with which we can relive all the events of what was the first expansion of the MMORPG that was published in 2007.
