One of the biggest announcements at BlizzConline was Diablo II Resurrected, which we learned last month was going to feature two alpha phases. Precisely Blizzard has just offered new details about the first of them after having revealed that it will begin this week on PC .
This trial version will launch on April 9 and will remain available until April 12 . During those days, anyone who receives an invitation to participate in it will have access to the first and second acts of the campaign, but will only be able to play alone, since multiplayer will not be activated until later.
Another detail to highlight is that this alpha phase will only have three of the seven classes that can be chosen in the final version: the Barbarian, the Amazon and the Sorceress. In addition, the original cutscenes will be included, as Blizzard is still creating the new sequences at the moment and they will not be ready for this week yet.
Otherwise, anyone who plays will be able to record their games, broadcast them, take screenshots, etc., which will be great news for content creators. The way to choose the participants will be completely random , although those who are not chosen will have a new opportunity to be part of the second alpha phase that will begin later.
In any case, the launch of Diablo II Resurrected is still scheduled for this year at a date to be determined . Although the alpha will only take place in its version for PC, the remastering will also go on sale on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Nintendo Switch.
