On more than one occasion we have come across cases in which certain video games ended up losing their multiplayer functions . For example, Ubisoft has gradually closed the online servers of some of its oldest video games and has announced that in a couple of months there will be as many titles that will suffer the same consequences.
The reason is because the French company considers that it is the best decision to further strengthen the online services of its most current and demanded games . This will mean that part of your team will stop being aware of video games that have a very small community or are no longer played by almost anyone.
Among those who will lose their online functions from June 1 in its PC version will be Assassin’s Creed 2, Far Cry 2, Splinter Cell Conviction or Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands. Along with these there will also be many others on consoles that the same thing will happen to them at some point this year, including Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 or Ghost Recon Future Soldier. We leave you below with the complete list:
PC (June 1)
- Anno 1404
- Assassin’s Creed 2
- Far Cry 2
- Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes
- Might & Magic X Legacy
- Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands
- Splinter Cell: Conviction
- The Settlers 7
Consoles (2021)

We must emphasize that all this affects only any online mode, so you can continue to enjoy any offline mode that the aforementioned games have. Similarly, news services, leaderboards will also be lost, and they will no longer be compatible with Ubisoft Connect.
and Discord.
