In the age of digital distribution, it is not uncommon to see certain works removed from common platforms. Luckily, they sometimes come back too.
This is the case of DuckTales Remastered, the update of the platform classic starring Scroogey Uncle who disappeared from all digital fronts in August. Capcom has announced that it is now available for download on PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and Steam.
Although not officially specified, this type of game recall is often attributed to the expiration of licenses , which in this case belong to Disney. Capcom still does not explain why it has returned, but we can assume that the rights have been renewed with the mouse company.
Be that as it may, it is great news for this mythical game , which can continue to be acquired without any problem. The Disney licenses developed by Capcom in the 80s and 90s are reputed to be some of the best platform titles on their respective consoles, and it’s not for nothing.
