In a few hours, some Ubisoft video games will say goodbye forever to all their online functions after announcing the French company that it has made the decision to close the online servers of 20 of the games in its catalog forever.
All of them have been on sale for years and correspond in their vast majority to titles of the past generation and others even older, among which are several of ‘Just Dance’, ‘I Am Alive’, RUSE ‘, or’ Rayman 3 HD ‘. The closing will take place tomorrow, November 11 , so you still have a few hours ahead to enjoy its performances for the last time.
The reason that Ubisoft has given regarding all this matter is the following:
We constantly assess what it takes to provide the best online services for Ubisoft customers. Shutting down some older games with small audiences is a necessary step in this process, allowing our team to better focus on delivering great experiences to more users who are playing newer or more popular games.
Still, we did not take the decision to decommission an old Ubisoft game lightly, and we understand that some of you may be disappointed with this news. We are happy to hear that there are fans who are committed to these franchises and titles, and we hope that you will find newer or upcoming Ubisoft games that you can feel just as passionate about. Thanks for your understanding and support.
