The big problem for creators of superhero games is that Rocksteady has set the bar very high with his two Batman adventures, and now we are not so willing to settle for mediocrity. A good example of this was given by Geoff Johns in a recent statement about a hypothetical Superman game, which he assured that it would only come if they found the correct study for it.
However, this level of demand is not generalized, and what we have seen so far from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ makes me fear that it could be a good example of this. That the game arrives with the intention of accompanying the premiere of the new wall-crawler movie does not help to improve my expectations either, since we already know how these products made for the occasion usually come out.
With Spidey we have already lived many interactive adventures, although until next summer we will not know if this one that has been developed again by Beenox for Activision is on the side of the interesting or the boring. But do not get carried away by my pessimism, perhaps you will be more convinced by the new trailer for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’.
