This is what happened this week in the town of Leicester (United Kingdom), where a bricklayer has destroyed the house that he himself had renovated . The reason? The owners did not pay for the works and, according to the worker, they used the money to go on vacation.
The owner of the house and the bricklayer had a strong discussion about the payment of the work. When no agreement was reached, when the owners went on vacation, the worker went to the house to demolish it . Neighbors can’t believe what happened. The bricklayer had dedicated several months to the work, for which the property had been revalued by around 30,000 euros, reaching a value close to 500,000 euros.
When the owners returned from vacation, they found the house completely destroyed and the garden full of rubble. Mr Kurji, the architect in charge of the project, assures that it is a real nightmare, and says he regrets having hired the worst worker in the whole of the United Kingdom.
A neighbor of the area has spoken with local media and has related that at first he thought that the worker had finished the work and for this reason he was removing all the scaffolding. But when he passed the house and saw that the roof had been ripped off he was stunned.
The owner has also spoken to ‘The Telegraph’ and explained that they wanted to do two floors, as well as a new roof and wiring . But, judging by what happened, things did not turn out as he and his wife expected, far from it.
