ADAC expects a lot of traffic jams on the weekend

It could get crowded on the German autobahns: the summer holidays in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg begin.

Munich – The ADAC expects traffic jams on the autobahns all over Germany this coming weekend.

The reason for this is that the last two federal states, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, will also start the school summer vacation, the automobile club announced on Monday in Munich. Families from other federal states are still going on vacation.

In some northern German federal states and northern European states, on the other hand, the holidays were already drawing to a close. Therefore, the ADAC also expects more traffic on the home travel lanes. Traffic experts expect traffic jams to be particularly dangerous on the access roads to lakes, low mountain ranges and the Alps. Trips to the Italian, French and Croatian coasts and mountain regions could also be arduous, it said. dpa
