A few years ago, Formula 1 began with the sale of products used during the grand prix, which included helmets, suits, car parts or any item verified by the category.
What had never happened before is the sale of a complete current Grand Circus car, and thanks to Alfa Romeo it has become a reality. The Swiss team has put up for auction a unit of its C42 from the 2022 season, which will end on May 31 at midnight.
Those of Hinwil announced this sale through their social networks, with the help of Formula 1 itself and F1 Authentics , and it is a Show Car with chassis # 1. In the auction, in addition, the signed equipment that will be used in the Monaco Grand Prix by its regular drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou, is added.
Thus, the buyer of the auctioned package will be able to enjoy the car, the competition suits, the balaclavas and fire-retardant clothing, which will be framed to expose it in the way it deserves.
The exhibition car has the decoration of the C42 and, although it is a Show Car , it is built by the Swiss team with the same process as the real Formula 1 cars, with carbon fiber and designed to represent the Alfa Romeo, in addition to supports the load exerted on all four axes.
The team has used the CAD data , along with composite tools, to create patterns that are used to model the carbon fiber parts. Each mold has created a specific part of the car, which comes equipped with electronic elements, such as a 3D-printed steering wheel with a working screen and brake lights.

The steering wheel is connected to the front wheels through a steering rack that allows the tires to rotate, although if you want to move the car you can always remove the front and rear wings, as well as raise the front or rear.
The weight of the car is around 550 kilograms , with measures of 5.5 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.5 meters high, all to make you feel like the Alfa Romeo drivers of the 2022 season.
In less than a day it has already reached the price of 53,500 pounds sterling, just over 63,000 euros at current exchange rates, so if you want to show off this C42 in your garage and show it off with your friends, you will have to make a good financial outlay.
