All the drivers who have won with Ferrari in F1

Not everyone admits it, but most take it for granted: every driver wants to drive for Ferrari before finishing his career. And beyond that, of course, everyone wants to win with Ferrari. The first has been achieved by more than 100 people, the second… a few less.

The Cavallino team has magic, history and a special aura that makes it unique. Unique, for better and for worse.

The historic team has played each and every one of the seasons of the Formula 1 world championship since its inception, that is, since 1950, being the team with the most drivers’ and constructors’ titles.

Nine drivers have given 15 individual world championships to Ferrari , and up to 40 drivers have contributed a victory to the list of their 241 wins, the most recent being Carlos Sainz at the 2022 British Grand Prix, his first time at the top of the podium in the highest category.

The Spaniard also became the 25th driver to claim his first Formula 1 win dressed in red, the first since Charles Leclerc in Belgium in 2019 and the second since Felipe Massa at the 2006 Turkish Grand Prix.

All the drivers who have won races with Ferrari in Formula 1

Years ago a poll revealed that, among Ferrari drivers, the fan favorite is Michael Schumacher. And at Motorsport.com we wanted to remind all those who have tasted the honey of success on at least one occasion, those who have been able to prove that winning with Ferrari is like winning twice with another squad.

How could it be otherwise, Michael Schumacher is the most prominent in the more than 70-year history of the Cavallino . The German helped win six team championships and won five world championships, adding a total of 72 victories in red. Niki Lauda and Alberto Ascari are the other two drivers who have given more than one title to Ferrari, specifically two. Both are the second and fourth drivers, respectively, with the most wins in the Italian team.

In addition to the three mentioned, it is striking that only three more drivers (Alonso, Sebastian Vettel and Massa) exceed two win figures, and instead drivers who were champions, such as Juan Manuel Fangio , John Surtees, Jody Scheckter or Phill Hill do not add up to more than six.
