A video shows how Armin Laschet enters a snack bar in his hometown of Aachen – without a corona mask. According to the hygiene rules, he greets two men with his fist and only then puts on the mask. “I’m not a doctor, but don’t you put the mask on before you go to the store?” Asks a Twitter user who shared the video. The recording comes from an ARD documentary that was broadcast for the first time on Sunday (August 22nd, 2021). Shortly afterwards, the film shows how the CDU boss and the two gentlemen are standing and drinking a glass of schnapps.

On Twitter it said in the comments, among other things: “1 1/2 years pandemic and not learned.” In North Rhine-Westphalia, the number of corona cases is currently increasing rapidly. The state under Prime Minister Armin Laschet recorded an incidence of 122.4 on Thursday (August 26, 2021).
For comparison: Saarland has the second highest incidence value with 81.5. Laschet recently admitted “serious errors” in the Corona measures last year. (lrg / dpa)
