Bestial win by Bastianini at Le Mans; Marquez 6th

The Beast was able to stick to the two factory Ducatis, those of Pecco Bagnaia and Jack Miller, to launch a definitive attack with seven laps to go. After a first offensive, Bagnaia returned the maneuver, before committing two errors in a row, the second definitive, which led him to roll on the ground.

With his theoretical leader out of action, Bastianini dedicated himself to continuing to beat the stopwatch until he crossed the finish line with a margin of almost three seconds over Miller , the bike from which he has many numbers to inherit next season.

Aleix Espargaró, very tough as usual in the Granollers corridor (Barcelona), managed to defend third place against the attacks of Fabio Quartararo, who finished fourth in front of his fans. That of France is the fourth podium for which he manages to add the #41 in the last five stops of the calendar, in addition to helping definitively for Aprilia to reposition itself as leader of the teams’ classification.

Noale’s structure takes over from Suzuki , who completed one of the darkest weekends of his career. Not only for being the first after knowing the fright of the Japanese manufacturer at the end of the course, but for the falls of Joan Mir and Alex Rins.

Johann Zarco, the other member of the MotoGP grid who was competing at home, finished fifth after getting rid of Marc Márquez (sixth), again the best placed Honda member.

Seventh place went to Takaaki Nakagami, already 16 seconds behind the winner, while Brad Binder finished eighth. Luca Marini (ninth) and Maverick Viñales (tenth) completed a top ten from which Pol Espargaró (eleventh), Alex Márquez (14th) and Franco Morbidelli (15th) were left out, who used half a minute more than the winner to complete the 27 race laps.
