Bettina Böttinger writes a letter to all of her guests

Writing letters is a bit out of fashion. But it has a very special meaning for Bettina Böttinger.

Cologne – Bettina Böttinger, host of the WDR talk show "Kölner Treff", writes a letter to all of her guests after the show.

“We want to convey the feeling: We are happy when you come. It runs through everything, ”said Böttinger of the German Press Agency. “I send a personal letter to every single guest after the broadcast. Even if letters are considered old-fashioned these days. ”That is a habit that she has maintained over the years.

The reactions are often very warm. "Because the guests notice: This is not just ticked off here." And it is very good for them to remember the conversation again.

The “Kölner Treff” was previously moderated by Alfred Biolek, among others. In 2006 the format was reissued with Bettina Böttinger. The presenter will be 65 years old on Sunday (July 4th). dpa
