Today is the day that many have been waiting for. Biomutant premieres on PS4, Xbox One and PC, ready to offer us dozens of hours in its incredible open world. THQ Nordic had been heating up this day through various teasers.
Now, thanks to the backward compatibility system of the new generation consoles, we can put both versions face to face to check their performance . In addition, the PC version has been included as a version with more power and this has been the result.
It is fair to say that an RTX 3080 has been used in the computer , adjusting the settings to the highest possible values. The result has been Biomutant running at 4K and 60FPS without problems. On the part of the consoles, we have PS5 reaching the resolution of 1080p, Xbox Series X up to 2160p and Series S with two modes, either 1440p and 30FPS or 1080p and 60FPS. No matter which version we play in, the framerate can be locked at 30FPS.
Regarding the quality of the textures, Series S does not seem to be able to match the others. As usual, on PC everything looks much better . For example, the outer shadows are better defined on computers, then through Series X and PS5.
Another interesting aspect that many value is the time we will be looking at the mobile until the game loads. The truth is that there will hardly be time to unlock it, since Microsoft devices will hardly have to wait ; a little more on Sony’s.
