Review – Bobby McKey’s Dueling Piano Bar
At Bobby McKeys, the dueling pianists keep the party going all night long. On Saturday night the place is packed and everyone is singing and having fun. During the night, four pianists, swapping in pairs every hour, play a wide variety of songs, including “Bennie and the Jets,” the theme of “Cheers,” and “Crocodile Rock.” Customers write song requests on bar napkins. The audience participates and anyone celebrating a birthday is invited to the stage for a quick “Happy Birthday” song.
All veterans of the house are invited to bow to the crowd and sing “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood. Later, the staff take to the stage for the crowd to dance to the music.
Reservations are recommended for Friday and Saturday nights. The place gets packed and there is limited seating. If you are not there before 8:15 pm, your table may be cleared. There is seating for 170 on the floor and 80 on the mezzanine. The standing space allows another 180 people.
The bar serves a variety of draft beers, bottled beers, wines, and a full bar.
The food menu includes burgers and a variety of dips and fries, including gravy and cheese, Maryland artichoke crab gravy, spinach gravy, and Buffalo chicken gravy.
