Stefan Bradl , test rider for HRC, shared the Andalusian circuit last Friday with Xavi Vierge and Iker Lecuona , the pair of official Honda riders who compete in WorldSBK. His motorcycle was sent to Malaysia at the end, where this Monday the so-called shakedown began, the training in which only test riders and rookies who will debut in MotoGP in 2022 are authorized to participate.
Honda does not expect the RC213V with which Bradl rode in Jerez, already in 2022 specification, to arrive in time for the last two days of this first contact.
However, it is expected that the 2011 Moto2 world champion will take to the track starting this Tuesday, with some of the prototypes that on paper correspond to Marc Márquez and Pol Espargaró, who will train on Saturday and Sunday along with the rest of the grid in the first collective test of this 2022.
In any case, that unit of the RC213V that Bradl used in Jerez is expected to arrive throughout the week, so that it will be available to both Espargaró and Márquez. In principle, the German does not plan to join them on Saturday and Sunday, even though a change of plans by the builder of the golden wing is not ruled out, depending on the sensations that are obtained.
We must not forget that Saturday will be the premiere of Márquez with the latest version of the bike projected for 2022, given that the Catalan, who did test a first version in Misano, missed the November tests, always in Jerez, due to of the injury that caused the problems of diplopia (double vision) that he already had in 2011 to reproduce.
