Bulk Waste Pickups for Miami Residents

Eligible Miami residents can schedule free bulk waste pickups up to twice per calendar year. Each collection can hold up to 25 cubic yards of bulk waste. If you are over 25 cubic yards, you can combine your two pickups in one trip. Regular waste can be disposed of using the standard recycling and garbage collection service.

You can schedule trips above your bulk waste limit on a pay-as-you-go basis. Check your local sanitation website for current prices.

Who is eligible?

Pickups can be scheduled by any unincorporated Miami Dade County resident, as well as residents of:

  • Adventure
  • Cutler Bay
  • Doral
  • Miami Gardens
  • Miami lakes
  • Palmetto Bay
  • Pinecrest
  • Sunny isles beach

Allowed Items

Bulk waste collections can contain a variety of non-toxic materials, including:

  • Piece of furniture
  • Appliances / home appliances
  • House accessories
  • Fences
  • Tree cuttings less than five feet long
  • Construction and demolition materials.
  • Electronic items
  • Power tools for the disabled (oil and fuel drain)
  • Tires less than 48 ”in diameter without rims (limit 4)

Scheduling a Pickup

Eligible Miami-Dade County residents can schedule a pickup using the Public Works & Waste Management Bulk Waste Collection Scheduling Tool. Just visit the website and enter your property address. The tool will verify your eligibility and inform you if a pickup is available for programming. You will then be asked to provide the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your status as a landlord, family member, or tenant.
  • Contact information
  • Details about the pickup, including:
    • The number of garbage piles (1-4 piles)
    • Exact trash location
    • Trash type
  • The date the materials will be ready to be picked up.

You will then receive a confirmation that your pickup has been scheduled. It will occur within 9 days from the date you specify that the materials will be ready.
