The multiplayer of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is still in top form and next week, as confirmed by Treyarch, it will receive news such as a new map or a new game mode , something that is always welcome and helps to maintain the interest and variety.
We are talking about the mid-season update, which will arrive on January 14 to all platforms on which the game is available, and this is what it includes for its multiplayer modes:
- The new Sanatorium map for Assault Teams mode, where there are 40 players divided into 10 teams of four players each and in which you have to complete a series of objectives. It is, therefore, a large map.

Sanatorium
- A new mode called Dropkick in which two teams of 6 players each must fight to gain control of some nuclear codes. The winning team will deploy a nuclear bomb.
In addition to this, the update will also add a new mode called Cranked in the zombies . From what appears in the official information, in this mode there will be a time counter that will decrease and that when it reaches zero it will kill us. To avoid this, it turns out that each eliminated zombie will reset said countdown, so, basically and as always, it will be about eliminating any zombie that gets in front of us.
There’s also another zombie novelty in the January 14 update: the Raid map will enter the Onslaught two-player co-op map list. We remind you that this mode is exclusive for PlayStation consoles during the first year, so that until November 1, 2021 it will not make the leap to the rest of the platforms.
