A virtual job search platform allows candidates to use their Facebook network to gain access to better career opportunities.
Jobandtalent is the first social employment platform through Facebook in Europe. Its creators, three young Spanish entrepreneurs, developed this idea after analyzing data from more than five million profiles on the popular social network. Users usually share academic and professional data in their profiles and also, through the contact network, they can locate people who, for example, have worked in the same company for which they are applying and ask them for a specific recommendation.
"If the curriculum is a summary of a person's professional career, the Facebook profile summarizes their life," Jobandtalent co-founder Felipe Navío told Europa Press. Therefore, the platform, education, career, etc. helps candidates to access the job offers that best suit their professional preferences
Facebook users spend an average of 7.5 hours per month on the social network, much more time than other networks and three out of four users visit it daily, so Facebook information is continuously updated, a key element for a personnel selection process.
