Checo Pérez lost his F1 helmet in Miami

Formula 1 visits the city of Miami for the first time to play a race, and it will do so in the surroundings of the Hard Rock Stadium . The organizers designed a special layout for the drivers and teams to put on a show like no other on American streets, and Sergio Pérez, along with Red Bull, held a promotional event before the grand prix.

The Mexican starred in an odyssey that the Austrians immortalized in a recording from New York to Miami at the controls of the RB7 from the 2011 season. Once the one from Guadalajara arrived on the track, we could all see the aspect of the circuit from the onboard camera, and it seems like a unique place to celebrate a test of the Great Circus.

However, it is possible that Checo does not have such good memories of his first visit to Miami, since during this event that served to give visibility to the race, one of his helmets was lost.

When the Mexican was asked about what had happened on US soil, Pérez said: “Someone took my helmet off, I’m still looking for it, I have no idea where it is now.”

“No one knows,” the Red Bull driver explained. “I hope I can find it later.”

Although Max Verstappen’s partner is the only one who has driven a Formula 1 car on the Miami circuit, not only he has been able to get to know what the track is like.

A few months ago, Pierre Gasly also visited this location, dressed in the official jersey of the NFL team that plays in the stadium right next door, the Miami Dolphins.

George Russell, the young Mercedes driver was another of the members of the grid who took the opportunity to spend a good day in Miami, he even said that “he looked very good for 2022” through his social networks while looking at the poster where they gave him welcome.
