Disney Interactive Studios and Avalanche Software present ‘Disney Infinity’, a game that will arrive next summer starting from premises as interesting as the collections of figures from ‘Skylanders’, the creation of worlds from ‘Minecraft’ and a sandbox universe spiced with adventures for each of the Disney and Disney Pixar characters.

‘Disney Infinity’, the mix of ‘Minecraft’ and ‘Skylanders’ with Disney figures
The idea comes from the Toy Box mode of ‘Toy Story 3’, a twist to the sandbox world in which we could create our own games using the elements and characters that we were unlocking through missions .
With this intention, the individuality of the characters of the most famous Pixar franchise is abandoned to integrate elements and characters of all Disney creations , from its animated and live action films to its series: The Incredibles, Phineas and Ferb, Pirates of the Caribe, Tron, Nightmare Before Christmas … All characters have been redesigned to have a similar style.
The game will feature an initial catalog of 40 items, 17 characters, and 20 Power Discs (discs that will be sold in packs and will include new items, customization options, and items). The characters will have their own adventures (also available in cooperative mode) based on their own worlds, some more action-oriented such as Pirates of the Caribbean and its battles with ships and swords and others more leisurely, such as customizing your own campus with Monsters University. Something like a video game for each set of characters. By contrast, the Toy Box mode will allow the use of all the elements and characters seen in those worlds to create an experience of their own.

Create your own Disney universe
Among the possibilities of the Toy Box mode, we have been able to see ‘Mario Kart’ style races, combat missions, infiltration or the different tutorials that will show us how each of the objects works, from weapons to vehicles, which will be put to our provision.
The player will obtain objects by overcoming both the challenges of the adventures and those of the Toy Box mode, thus allowing them to build their own universe, either through blocks, extensions of land or buildings (all customizable), to later enjoy them in the company of three other players or sharing them over the network .
The game will have an interactive base in which we can place two of the different figures that will be made available to the public, acting as a link with the game so that the character is controllable. The base will also serve to use the aforementioned Power Discs.
