Until recently television was the most consumed medium. But now, for the first time in history, a survey has just revealed that this year American adults will spend more time each day using digital media than watching television.
The study, carried out by the company eMarketer, estimates that the average Internet consumption is 5 hours and 9 minutes , which would represent an increase of 38 minutes compared to last year. On the other hand, the time spent watching television has remained stable during this period, with 4 hours and 31 minutes compared to 4 hours and 38 minutes the previous year.
Particularly contributing to this is that adults will spend an average of 2 hours and 21 minutes a day using their mobile devices (phones and tablets) for activities other than making phone calls, that is, 56 minutes more than in 2012.
