The ‘Driver’ saga returns to regain old laurels. After years of drought we get ‘Driver: San Francisco’, a title that aims to make us forget the irregularity of past deliveries and, seeing the first impressions of some specialized media, it seems that they have succeeded. His proposal brings us familiar faces like those of Tanner and Jericho , the adjusted gameplay of yesteryear … and surprising game mechanics that seem to work: we can jump from one driver to another in the middle of the fast-paced car chases.
The game goes on sale in anticipation of the one to come. This is a good time because the great titles that are going to start arriving shortly for the Christmas season are right now warming up. If you also booked it in your favorite store, you can take home a very special gift. It may not attract much attention to you, but maybe it will make your father shed a tear.
It is no less than ten songs from the marvelous soundtrack on exclusive vinyl . And no, vinyl is not an Italian singer, it is that round black thing with a little hole in the middle that you may have seen around your house.
Editing the sound on a vinyl record is already something that was done with ‘Bioshock 2’. Then it already made sense for the setting of the game, now too. If back then a 1950s setting was supported, now it pays tribute to the guitars that have always been so important in ‘Driver’ (portentous that of ‘Driv3r’ , with a taciturn Iggy Pop acting as radio host who presented each song ).
So now you know, maybe your parents will be less resistant than usual when it comes to giving you a game if they come across this extra that will remind them of their early years. For now I already have my copy, which will look shiny next to my bulky collection.
