EgoGames, the first European platform to earn money with eSports on mobile arrives

Electronic sports are going strong in Spain. Now, a new startup created by two young Spanish entrepreneurs Alejando Sáez and Baldomero Sánchez, is presented as the first European video game platform to compete in eSports.

What is eGoGames?

Basically anyone can earn money playing a video game from their smartphone or tablet. As simple as that. Its founders, who are still in their twenties, have patented in 176 countries a pioneering algorithm that, they say, “guarantees equality for all participants in their competitions.” Expertise is the only variable that will determine who is the winner in the matches. There is no chance.

What games are we talking about?

At the moment, the platform is presented with eight own games of different themes such as sports or puzzles, among others. In addition, the company intends to reach agreements with other video game studios in order to provide them with a new way of retaining their users, maximizing the benefits they generate in their application and offering players the possibility of professionalizing their passion for video games.

“We want to revolutionize the world of mobile gaming, bringing electronic sports closer to users and turning any type of skill game into an esport. In this way, anyone who dreams of becoming a professional gamer will be able to do so , being rewarded with money or prizes ”, says Alejandro Sáez, CEO of the company.

Investors

Starting with 300,000 euros of financing -they have currently opened a second round of financing-, its investors include: Pedro Serrahíma (founder of Pepephone and current director of multi-brand business development at Telefónica) and entrepreneurs such as Francisco Riberas , CEO of the Corporation Gestamp and one of the richest men in Spain.

How does it work?

Users can play one-on-one ( versus ) or play tournaments. Each user can play with two types of currency: a real currency and a virtual currency known as GGs, designed so that novice gamers can practice before taking the final step to professionalize their profile and in the face of minors as well can participate.

The operation of eGoGames is very simple: you have to download one of the eight games available in the Apple Store or Galaxy Apps or by direct download on their website and … let’s play! Each game will maintain its own classification and weekly the best players will see their effort rewarded with the distribution of the accumulated pot.
