FordPass Pro connects your SME to your car

Ford is committed to helping small business owners and fleet operators keep their vehicles connected, safe and running efficiently . Thanks to the new application for smartphones FordPass Pro, the manufacturer aims to optimize the efficiency and productivity of SMEs, allowing the user to check the status of the car remotely, book a tune-up and see the location of up to five models of the brand from the same screen. In addition, it provides the necessary tools and information in order to assure the owner that their vehicles are ready to work with the maximum period of activity.

A simple solution

This is also explained by Richard Bunn , director of Ford Mobility Europe, who comments that “time is important for small business owners, so we focus on offering simple technology solutions that we know make a big difference.” “FordPass Pro will help our customers spend less time managing their vehicles and more time making their business a success,” adds Bunn.

The application is intuitive for any user. Its most notable features are the home screen , to dynamically and instantly access important information about each vehicle (for example, showing AdBlue levels, so owners know when to fill up the tank); location, which lets you know where cars are at the beginning or end of the day, as well as helping drivers find their vehicles in busy parking lots or workplaces; remote locking / unlocking, which provides the assurance that vehicles and their contents are safe, as well as allowing the cab and cargo compartment to be protected independently. With automatic vehicles, you can even start the engine from the app to warm them up on chilly mornings. Simply open the one-touch command center to remotely control the vehicle.

Future plan

Other of its most notable characteristics are the health of the vehicle , which shows the main indicators of the car, which helps to reduce wear and tear and improve fuel economy; alarm notification, thanks to which owners will know immediately if any of their vehicle’s alarms have been activated; and remote start, through which cars can be ready to work and at the perfect temperature first thing in the morning.

But the thing does not stop there. In fact, the idea is that these solutions continue to increase. FordPass Pro will add useful new features and enhancements to its tool list on a regular basis. Next will be an enhanced security mode, allowing FordPass Connect-equipped vehicle owners to receive alerts about any activity in their car (even if unlocked with a key), providing an additional dose of protection and confidence, being able to solve problems as soon as possible and avoid unforeseen costs in the future. In addition, online booking will help to proactively manage vehicle maintenance.
