Formula 1 will race in Monaco until at least 2025

Formula 1 has announced this Tuesday, September 20, 2022, a new agreement with the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) so that the highest category continues to compete on the famous streets of Monte Carlo until at least 2025, that is, an extension of three seasons. .

The Monaco Grand Prix has been an important part of the championship since its inception, as it has been part of the calendar since 1950 and also provides a unique and different challenge for the drivers, as well as being one of the most recognized events in the world at a sporting level.

After several months of many doubts and statements that hinted at a more than possible farewell to the Monegasque event, both parties have reached an agreement that ensures the continuity of Monaco on the F1 calendar until, at least, before the arrival of the new cycle of power unit rules in 2026.

Although details of the terms of the agreement have not been published, it is very likely that the new contract was signed with terms much more beneficial for F1, since in recent months they had made it clear that they would have no problem saying goodbye. to the Monaco GP if certain concessions were not made.
