Prince William and Duchess Kate: fourth child? “Don’t give my wife ideas”

While visiting a hospital in Lancashire, England, Prince William and Princess Kate met young parents and their babies. The sight of the newborns apparently prompted the number two in line to the British throne to bring up the subject of planning their own offspring.

As the Duchess lovingly cradled a baby girl in her arms, Prince William may have suspected this could reignite the mother-of-three’s desire to have a baby. “Don’t give my wife any ideas,” he joked to those in attendance.

Prince William and Duchess Kate: The royal couple no longer want children

But Duchess Kate seemed very fond of the baby entrusted to her. She obviously found it difficult to part with the little girl again. “Don’t take her with you,” cried her husband. And so, with a heavy heart, his wife handed the baby over to the mother.

The fact that family planning for Prince William and Duchess Kate is more likely to be completed is an open secret. As early as 2020, when asked by a Royal fan about a fourth child, the Duchess of Cambridge said: “I don’t think William wants more.” It remains to be seen whether the hospital visit to the couple, who has been married since 2011, will still lead to a rethink leads.
