The City of Gaithersburg, in association with the Harp and Shamrock Society, is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day parade featuring a flute band, brass band, music, animals, and more. The parade is co-sponsored by the City of Gaithersburg, the Gaithersburg Harp & Shamrock Society, the Montgomery County Recreation Department, and the Peterson Corporation at the Washingtonian Center. Grand Marshals this year will be the founders of the parade John Barry and Ed Duffy.

When the parade is over, there will be live music and family activities in the plaza area until 1 p.m.

Washingtonian Center, Gaithersburg , Maryland.
The parade begins at Corner Bakery and ends at Kohls.
Participants in this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade include Gaithersburg Mayor and City Council, state and local officials, Gaithersburg Police, Duffy Irish Dance School, Ring of Kerry Irish Dancers, Dance School Irish Maple, McGrath Academy of Irish Dance, Montgomery County Fire Pipes and Drums, Greyhound Pets of America / MD, Rose of Tralee Washington DC, fire trucks, equestrian units and other community groups.
