Gallery: 2022 San Marino Grand Prix MotoGP standings

Jack Miller has taken a pole again! The Australian took advantage of the mixed conditions, with light rain that was wet but not soggy, to show off his handling in low-grip situations, setting the fastest time on dry tyres.

Pecco Bagnaia, second, confirmed the double for the official Ducati , thus maintaining the good post-holiday trend. However, the title contender will start from fifth position, after being penalized for hindering Alex Márquez in FP1.

The duo leading the general standings, Fabio Quartararo and Aleix Espargaró, did not have a good day and will start late on the grid. The Yamaha rider qualified in eighth position, while the Aprilia rider did the same in ninth place.

The weather forecast is not too clear for tomorrow’s race, so it is easy to think of a likely flag- to-flag race.
