Formula 1 experienced a historic moment this weekend in May, since the highest category of motorsports has played its first Miami Grand Prix, where we have enjoyed three days of action, accidents, tension and friction with the walls, all the elements for a spectacular cocktail.
Sunday, the day of the race, began with the drivers’ complaints to the FIA about the dirt and the lack of grip of the single-seaters when they left the ideal line, but the federation ignored it and did nothing that they had not done without these statements, so the excitement was high for the opening test on this American track.

In a race that began with great prominence of Fernando Alonso making a very good start, going from 11th to 7th place, the drivers were very cautious because the walls did not allow any error.
However, halfway through the test, the same man from Oviedo touched Pierre Gasly, which caused the appointment in Miami to change radically. The fight for victory focused on Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, who were very close at all times, but the Dutchman showed a superior pace and climbed to the top of the podium.
A little further back, closing the places of honour, Carlos Sainz Jr. was able to withstand the attacks of Sergio Pérez to savor the champagne for the third time this season, although he continues “wanting more”, while his compatriot, Fernando Alonso could only be 9th after the sanction for the incident with Gasly.
The next appointment will be in two weeks, at the Spanish Grand Prix, where most of the teams will deploy their improvements when they arrive at the European tour, having at their disposal the facility to move the parts to the factory quickly.
