Guido Cantz doesn't have a new TV project yet

The farewell to “Do you understand fun?” Is getting closer. But Guido Cantz is still completely focused on the TV show.

Munich / Cologne – TV presenter Guido Cantz wants to remain loyal to television even after his end with “Do you understand fun?”. “But there is still no new project,” said the 50-year-old from the German press agency. “I want to finish one thing first before the next one begins.”

He also hopes that the touring business as a comedian will pick up speed again after the corona lockdowns and that he can be on stage at the carnival in January and February.

On Saturday evening (8.15 p.m.) the new edition “Do you understand fun?” Will be broadcast live on Das Erste. In December, Cantz will host the show for the 60th and last time, in which celebrities trick their colleagues or passers-by walk into traps with hidden cameras on the street.

His last shoot for the SWR production has already been completed. He himself was the victim, said Cantz. “But I won’t reveal more.” He could also imagine becoming active again as a decoy for the show – for example if the team wanted to dupe his successor Barbara Schöneberger. But that should be the exception. “If I say I’ll stop, then I’ll stop too,” said Cantz from Cologne. “I don’t want to be a Howard Carpendale.” Dpa
