With the intention of returning to the top and becoming the only driver in history to have eight championships under his belt, Hamilton found himself with a Mercedes W13 that is far from the performance of the great dominators, Ferrari and Red Bull.
That, added to the performances in which he finished far behind the young George Russell, a pilot with no experience in a team in which the objective is to fight for victories, has made the unknowns reappear about a possible departure of the British Grand Circus.
In a post on social networks, Lewis Hamilton seemed to respond to all the criticism received at Imola, although the message he leaves is enigmatic, because he does so from the room where Mercedes keeps the tires, but without wearing the team’s clothes.
“Working on my masterpiece, I will be the one who decides when it is finished,” the Englishman wrote in the Instagram photo that he uploaded on Wednesday night after the appointment on the Bolognese track.
It remains to be seen if that statement was directed towards someone or something in particular, perhaps towards the rumors of a possible withdrawal , explaining that it will be he himself who decides when his adventure in Formula 1 ends, or about the criticism he has received for being incapable to tame the single-seater that the Brackley team has given him.
The possibility that it is a kind of publicity towards his next activities outside of sport cannot be ruled out either, as Hamilton is an art and music enthusiast. A few weeks ago he uploaded some images in which he could be seen working in a small improvised studio in his house, but it is not the pilot’s first foray into the music sector.
In 2018, he released the single titled ‘ Pipe ‘, which belongs to the album ‘ Liberation ‘, by the renowned singer Christina Aguilera , and where it appears as a collaboration under the name of XNDA .

Only time will tell what the seven-time champion has meant with this Instagram post, and knowing the personality he has, nothing can be ruled out.
