>> Jack Miller became the 11th rider to win the French Grand Prix since the introduction of the MotoGP category in 2002.
>> The Ducati rider won for the second consecutive time, after taking victory at the Spanish Grand Prix five years after his first in MotoGP. He is the first Australian to win two races in a row since Casey Stoner in 2012.
>> After leading the first few laps of the year at Jerez, Miller completed 18 laps in the lead this time. Marc Márquez was also leading a grand prix for the first time since the start of last season, when he was injured.
>> Although they had a chance to win, Marquez and Honda missed it again. For the brand with the golden wing it is the longest sequence of races (19) without a victory since the creation of HRC in 1982.
>> Miller was accompanied on the podium by Johann Zarco and Fabio Quartararo. After having signed the first French double podium in a major guild since 2009 and the first in the premier class since 1954 at the Doha Grand Prix, the two Frenchmen did it again!
>> Local drivers had been on the podium before in three premier class races at Le Mans: Zarco in 2017 (2nd), Raymond Roche in 1985 (2nd) and Christian Sarron (3rd) in 1987.
>> Miller and Zarco got Ducati ‘s second consecutive double after Jerez (Miller-Bagnaia). The Borgo Panigale manufacturer has eight in MotoGP, but had not achieved one since 2018.
>> Fabio Quartararo leads the championship again, which is the fifth change of leader in the category in five races.
>> After this fifth round of the season, the top three in the standings have added three podiums each: two wins and a third place for Quartararo; two second places and a third for Bagnaia; three second places for Zarco. There are only three drivers left who have always scored points (Quartararo, Bagnaia and Viñales) and five who have finished all the races (Morbidelli and Marini finished outside the points twice).
>> With his 13th pole position, Fabio Quartararo equaled Sete Gibernau and Loris Capirossi in the premier class. Starting from there, he has been on the podium eight times, three of them on the top step.
>> Since pole position records were first recorded, this is the fourth time that a Frenchman has qualified first on the grid in the premier class at Le Mans. One more example of the role played by the Quartararo-Zarco couple in the current rebirth of motorcycling in the country, since between them they have achieved it three times in four years. The previous time was Christian Sarron in 1987.
>> Maverick Viñales moved into second on the grid, completing the Yamaha Factory Team’s first one-two in qualifying since the 2017 Italian Grand Prix.
>> The LCR team achieved its best overall result of the season in this Grand Prix, with Alex Márquez in sixth position and Takaaki Nakagami in seventh. The same can be said for Tech3 , with Danilo Petrucci in the top 5 and Iker Lecuona in ninth. The Spaniard equaled his best result in MotoGP.
>> Valentino Rossi’s five points from 11th place at Le Mans is his best result since the San Marino Grand Prix last September. Qualifying ninth, he also posted his second best grid result since the previous French Grand Prix.
>> As happened in Losail and Jerez, in Le Mans the track’s maximum speed record was broken. Alex Márquez set the new reference with the Honda at 323.7 km/h . The previous record was broken by 4.1 km/h. No more records were broken.
