A deep red arrow pierced Fiorano ‘s silence. The new Ferrari F1-75 has completed the first lap of its new adventure, of an exciting 2022 course that will take place with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz as drivers.
The Prancing Horse car, presented online this Thursday (and leaked on Wednesday), left this Friday morning at the Fiorano circuit -at 10:15 a.m., during the presentation of the new Mercedes- to make the first shakedown .

But it is not a filming day of 100 kilometers, but a simple ‘demo event’ of only 15 kilometers, basically to check that everything is okay. Last year they did it through the streets of Maranello, and this year directly on the asphalt of its circuit.
The Ferrari car completed the first lap -and the following- with “demo” tires manufactured by Pirelli specifically for days of this type, with Leclerc and Sainz at the wheel. They did it on one of the track configurations that allow the 2.9 kilometers of Fiorano, shorter than usual, and turned in the opposite direction to the one that normally runs the circuit that belongs to Modena. In addition, the teams can only ride on circuits that are not approved to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Thus, the F1-75 completed the first few meters on a difficult day overshadowed by the classic fog that usually accompanies the second part of winter in the Po Valley and which means that after a hundred meters you only see a gray wall.
After this “demonstration test”, Ferrari will send the F1-75 to Barcelona for the first of the two filming days allowed by the sporting regulations for each team. This great first test of 100 kilometers will take place on February 22, that is, the day before the start of the pre-season tests at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya de Montmeló, which will take place from February 23 to 25.
