Impressions from Madrid Games Week 2019

When an industry moves 800,000 million dollars a year and estimates point to continued growth , it must be taken into account. Video games have long ceased to be a strange element in society to become the most consumed entertainment medium in the world , above cinema and television. Around it, and in order to satisfy the almost constant demand for products from the gamer community, a huge business has been formed that attracts more people and more companies year after year. All of them, from the content creators to their followers, gather in places like Madrid Games Week .

Madrid Games Week was the attempt of big brands such as GAME stores and the Spanish Video Game Association to create a common space in which to promote themselves, make themselves known and attract all those interested in the sector. This video game convention appeared with everything in its favor, with the support of powerful companies and in a context in which video games are much more widespread and accepted both in society and in the cultural landscape. E3, currently the largest event in the world of video games worldwide , arose precisely to claim the place of the video game industry in the world of technology and entertainment and its first steps were taken on a much rockier terrain, but they served to pave the way for all who would come later .

The 2019 edition of Madrid Games Week has had 270 stands that included the main companies, independent development studios, educational institutions, brands specialized in gaming equipment, innovation projects and merchandising among many other things. 136,000 visitors have come to the IFEMA venue and, for four days, have enjoyed the latest news from the world of videogames. From VERY Gamer we have not been able to resist and in this gallery we bring you a list of the titles that we have tried and that, for better or for worse, have attracted our attention the most. Here we leave you our first impressions!
