Incredible veiled triplet birth: one of the babies is born inside the amniotic sac and they observe for seven minutes how it is inside the uterus

Triplet deliveries are rare and veiled or blanket births are much more so, when the baby is born inside the amniotic sac. The delivery that we bring you is a recent triplet cesarean section assisted by Dr. Rodrigo da Rosa Filho in São Paulo, Brazil.

This is a trzygotic pregnancy, in which each of the three babies has their own pouch, cord, and placenta. The most common is that the bag breaks when labor begins, during it, or even at the time of delivery, but on rare occasions, these types of births occur within the amniotic sac without breaking.

The first baby, a boy, was born with the pouch intact; then came the girl, who to everyone’s surprise, also came into the world inside the bag . Children who come into the world in this way, approximately one in every 80 thousand babies, are known as enmantillados, with a cloak, veil or shawl , for the cloak or veil that covers the baby.

Without knowing that he was born

When the baby was taken out, the doctor says on his Instagram account, they stayed for seven minutes watching her in wonder , as if they were “spying” on what happens inside the mother’s womb. And the girl, without knowing that she had been born.

She can be seen sleeping very peacefully while being touched, caressed and spoken to. “Are we going to be born or not?” , “She is very calm” are some of the phrases that you hear the nurses and the doctor say.

Yesterday we delivered the triplets And Joaquim was born impelicate (when the bag does not break). We were delighted. But then Adeline came (women always outnumber men) and she rocked. She was also born impetuous and left us all admiring her while sleeping peacefully. We stayed for 7 minutes observing her behavior as if she were still in her belly. It is the magic of life. The doctor relates with the publication:

Yesterday we delivered the triplets! And Joaquín was born in a blanket (when the bag does not break). We were delighted. But there she came to Adeline (women always outnumber men) and she swept it! She was also born in a blanket and she let us admire her while she slept peacefully. We stayed for 7 minutes observing her behavior as if she were still inside the womb. It is the magic of life. The perfection of God! Lucky to witness.

Is nothing wrong with the baby?

Many wonder if this is not causing the baby some kind of suffering, but remember that it continues to receive oxygen through the umbilical cord attached to the placenta .

To understand it better, we have consulted with the midwife Sara Cañamero, who points out:

“As long as it is still attached to the cord, as was the case, it is not dangerous for the baby because it remains oxygenated through it.”

But seven minutes? It is striking that they have waited so long, since most of the veiled deliveries that we have seen, the bag breaks almost immediately, or at most in a couple of minutes. However, as the cord continues to beat attached to the placenta, the flow of oxygen continues to pass to the baby. It usually takes between 10 minutes and half an hour for the cord to stop beating.

Another thing is that I find it respectful , the fact that they spend seven minutes with the video and photos, with so much light, with so much noise, without being skin to skin with the mother, which is how it should be … And no none of that is respected. The baby seemed to have not yet realized that she had been born, and the show that was put on seems out of place, “says the midwife.

And in addition to being disrespectful, it adds a possible risk to the baby:

“There is a greater risk of hypothermia from leaving it like that, since for newborns, who have an immature thermoregulatory system, it is a danger.”

The triplets, both the girl and her brothers, are perfectly well, and surely this multiple veiled birth will be recorded as an extraordinary memory for the family.
