As he himself confirmed in an interview with Motorsport.com in Austin, Miller has interpreted in recent months that the Borgo Panigale brand does not intend to extend his contract beyond 2022, a circumstance that has caused him to seek alternatives for Her future.
He has already made it clear that he would welcome the possibility of returning to Pramac, but at the same time he has initiated other possible paths. One of the ones that takes more shape is his return to Honda, the manufacturer that made him debut in MotoGP in 2015, directly from Moto3, precisely with the team owned by Lucio Cecchinello .
LCR is going through a delicate moment due to the discreet role played in the last two exercises by both Alex Márquez and Takaaki Nakagami, who are still waiting to sign their first podium (with that team). In fact, Cal Crutchlow was the last of the riders from the Honda satellite structure to climb into the box, at the 2019 Australian Grand Prix.
Unless the trend changes in the near future and Márquez or Taka significantly improve their dynamics, everything seems to indicate that LCR will completely change its lineup with a view to 2023.
