Berlin – New season, new dangers: Before the start of the RTL jungle camp 2022 this Friday (9:30 p.m.), camp doctor Dr. Bob already got the participants in the mood in style.
“In South Africa, scorpions and snakes are the biggest threats to our stars. We have already explained to them how careful they have to be in the camp. It’s important to us to make it clear to them that they don’t live in a studio, but in the real wilderness.”
Corona causes a stir
In the run-up, however, it wasn’t poisonous animals, but the unfortunate corona crisis that shook up the field of candidates a little. Two days before the start, it was announced that Lucas Cordalis would not move in as planned. “The singer was found to have the corona virus in a PCR test after entering South Africa,” said RTL. Reality star Daniela Katzenberger’s husband is fine, however, and has no symptoms. It is not yet clear whether the 54-year-old will move to the camp at a later date. According to RTL, the season starts with eleven candidates.
And of those eleven, one is already a replacement. The widow of actor Willi Herren, Jasmin Herren, is moving in as a substitute candidate for Christin Okpara. According to RTL, the dome show candidate Okpara had “disagreements about the vaccination status”. Your contract has been terminated. Okpara’s manager was initially unavailable for dpa. “Bild” quoted him as saying: “We cannot comment on this at the moment.” According to the federal police, a procedure was initiated on the strong suspicion of having presented a fake vaccination certificate.
Glööckler is looking forward to the challenge
Fashion star Harald Glööckler, on the other hand, is there – and full of anticipation. He doesn’t miss anything, he told the German Press Agency. “I’m prepared to take part in this great challenge.” It was clear to him from the start that some things would have to be avoided for a while. “That’s also a wonderful experience for me as an artist: just finding out what it’s like when you have nothing but your clothes and not always enough to eat.” He’s currently in a hotel – he misses it Nothing. “When I look out the window, the impalas greet me.”
Who else is in? There would be the bodyguard Peter Althof and the reality stars Linda Nobat, Tara Tabitha and Janina Youssefian. Actor Eric Stehfest and reality actor Manuel Flickinger will also fight for the jungle crown. The actresses Anouschka Renzi and Tina Ruland and reality star Filip Pavlovic are also in the camp.
