Katy Perry normalizes breastfeeding by appearing on TV in a dress adapted to breastfeed

After being the mother of a girl in August, Katy Perry returned as a judge on ‘American Idol’, the talent show that is sweeping the United States. And as she did with her famous selfie expressing milk, she has once again claimed breastfeeding in prime time.

The singer wanted to make a nod to motherhood and breastfeeding with her usual humor and for this, she appeared with a cow print design created especially for her by designer Christian Siriano.

The dress, with puff sleeves, matching hat and gloves, has a front flap that can be opened to comfortably breastfeed anywhere, as well as to use the breast pump.

This is not the first time that Katy Perry has championed the normalization of breastfeeding . Last October we could see her in an advertisement in which breast milk is expressed to support breastfeeding and demand better maternity leave in the face of voting in the United States.

She has always been very committed to maternity issues and it is something that is appreciated coming from a celebrity with such popularity in the entertainment world. At the time, she also spoke with humor about the discomfort of pregnancy and did not hesitate to show her postpartum body after the birth of Daisy Dove, her daughter with Orlando Bloom.

With this fun gesture and its particular ‘breastfeeding friendly’ design , it helped to make visible that for women it is not usually easy to reconcile motherhood with work life.
