Starting from the back of the grid following a penalty for exceeding the engine parts limit, Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc put in a strong performance at the 2022 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.
The Ferrari driver opened a gap between his rivals, first on the hard tires and then on the medium ones, crossing the checkered flag in fifth place after several overtakes and despite a slower than usual pit stop that cost him up to four positions at the halfway point of the race.
