The headlights evoke a certain romance, the comforting feeling of a bygone time when life was simpler and more peaceful. The lighthouses listed here are now open to the public as bed and breakfasts.
If you think you are interested in staying in one of these historic structures, prepare yourself; many take the feeling of “past time” very seriously and avoid amenities such as televisions and telephones in the room. Some also have strict restrictions on what types of appliances can be used.
